Eeek!

There I was, peacefully minding my own business in the library, when I turned around and saw...

A poster advertising ME!!!

It wasn't that I didn't know I was giving a talk, you understand, I just hadn't expected there to be a poster advertising it. Made me come over all of a dither.

I can see how that would be an EEEK! moment!!! And I love that you took a photo of it! Good luck with the talk :)

Good luck with the talk! I had a nice surprise, my copy of Fair Deception came through yesterday and I'm loving it - am not sure how I will explain to dh why no housework or coursework has been done today (one of my child free - at pre-school and school - days!) but I've got to find out more about Susanna's past...

Two things that are not fair! One I won't be able to attend your talk and two my copy of Fair Deception must be sitting all lonely in Cornwall while I sit here in Dubai wanting it!

Mummy - I'd actually walked out all in a dither before remembering that I had my phone with me and could take a photo! Had to wander airily back in again as if I trotted up and down the library staircase every day.

Lori - How lovely that your copy has arrived already! Hope the story lives up to expectations.

Liz - Believe me, I am very glad that no-one I know will be at the talk! Otoh, it is hugely unfair that your copy is in Cornwall and you aren't. Will you be making a mad dash down there before the Winter Party?

Excellent. Am very proud of you.

(My copy of FD hasn't arrived yet. So this means I have a nice parcel due this week...)

I've read it and loved it! Thanks Jan, had a lovely day yesterday - now I've got to catch up with all the things I should have been doing!
I am so undisciplined when I've got a good book, I don't know how people say they are just going to read a chapter and then put it down!

Phew! Thank goodness you liked it, Lori. Thank you for letting me know.

And no, I don't know how people can put down brand-new-to-them books either. I certainly can't (though I have now learnt not to drive whilst reading...)

Ooh, I love it when writers come and give talks at the library where I work. Doesn't happen often enough in my opinion! I hope it goes well :o)

I've just posted my review of FD on Amazon and hope it meets with the author's approval! Sadly I too had to postpone the chores while I read it, but life can't be all fun... (When the kids were small I used to hide in the loo to read but now I don't care who sees me reading. 'I'm Nicky and I'm a Two-Book a day reader...')
Have fun at the library, Jan; I've done quite a few talks at local libraries and they've all been fun. (Hint to Karen...)
