Ms to go

.
There. In the interests of sanity, Fortunate Wager has been polished, printed and packaged ready to post to the publisher tomorrow.

Wish it well.

(Mind you, I'm not sure it's really ready to be sent - I mean, I'm not throwing up at the sight of it yet.)

Thanks, Liz - it's the one you wanted to read the rest of! Has your Fair Deception arrived yet? Or are you picking it up here in a fortnight?

Thank you, Kate. My fingers are crossed too. Makes typing tricky, doesn't it?

Good luck, Fortunate Wager!

As for getting sick of an MS, I'm never sure if that's a good thing--because you've worked on it enough--or a bad thing!

Fingers crossed, Jan. I'm not quite at the throwing up stage with A Long Time Dying but with something under about 30k words to go I really wish I could go to bed and find my heroine has written the rest for me overnight. Damn it, she knows as well as I do what's going to happen. It's not a lot to ask!

Fortunate Wager thanks you, K8. I am sooo envious of the people who can simply write once then send out. As it is, I invariably find that no sooner have I consigned my package to the postie's sack than I remember the one word which has been elusive for months.

Thanks, Nicky. The other 30K will fly by, just you see. Frequently I find my people know a lot better than me what's going to be happening...
