Farewell, Merlin

.
My lovely Merlin's heart gave out this morning. He had some breakfast and a drink of water, came outside with me to feed the birds, came back in, rubbed around my legs and then lay down in the hall for a snooze.

He stopped breathing as I was stroking him. He looks very peaceful now.

Looks easy...

I'm so sorry, sweetheart. You know I feel your pain. Lots of hugs and a shoulder to cry on. What a beautiful kitty.

Aw, Jan, that's sad but lovely at the same time. I love that you had your morning routine and then he curled up to sleep but you stayed with him until he was gone. Tearing up just thinking about it but sending you ((hugs)) xx

Thanks all. We knew it was coming, but not that it would come so fast.

Still getting used to it.

Sending hugs I know what it's like to lose a well-loved furry member of family. You will get used to the absence eventually. Looks like you spoilt him very well so he had a wonderful life. :-) xx

Thank you again. Archer is a bit lost. He and Merlin were brothers and have been together their whole 11 years. He keeps looking around for him. Getting lots of extra strokes!
